*****First things first you must back up your Vista Registry before you make any attempts to Clean it. That way if you make any mistakes you can always restore.

So the first step in my Vista registry fix is as follows:

1:Hit the start button
2: In Search type regedit
3:Select File then export
4: Name and Save file

****To restore just repeat process but select import

Next Download and Install Registry Easy by clicking the icon below and then selecting the free scan option on the next page

Open Registry Easy
Click Scan & Clean from the top left menu
Now click Registry Cleaner
Look to the bottom right and click Scan Now

Registry Easy will scan and clean your Vista registry its looking for empty or invalid registry keys, bad file associations, bad software settings and entries for startup programs. After the scan is complete go ahead and click on repair. This will complete the Vista Registry clean process. After running this Vista Registry fix you should notice after a reboot a significant boost in your computer's performance. Don't get too excited though I have a few other tasks for you to complete before we can say we are done. I am going to throw in a bonus step not related to the fixing the registry but just as important in keeping your computer running in tip top shape.

Lets go back to the Scan & Clean menu selection on the left hand side and select the evidence cleaner. This will clean out all your temp files, history entries and cookies Internet Explorer and other programs have downloaded into its cache. I recommend running this utility once every month. It's a great way to keep your internet connection running great.

I also recommend running the system optimizer, Internet optimizer and Memory tweak. Also consider running the BHO Manager and the IE restore utilities from the IE tools selection. This will really getting your system humming. After you are done running these various tasks make sure to reboot your system. Try to remember to run these tools on a monthly basis. Look at it this way, what if you never changed the oil in your car or tuned it up? Your car would eventually start running sluggish and in time breakdown. Your computer requires maintenance in a similar way. A couple of mouse clicks could save you hours of frustration. So protect your data and keep you computer running great for a long time.
